Student Questions

 

Can I register online?

No. All students must come into the office to register. Our office is located at 2200 California St., N.W. Washington DC, 20008. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday 9am to 8pm. Saturday & Sunday 9am through 4pm.

 

 

Do I need to have an I.D./ VISA Card?

No. We DO NOT require an I.D. or VISA card. We accept students from anywhere in the Greater Washington Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia, etc). However, we CAN NOT provide I.D. or VISA cards for our students.

 

 

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept all forms of payment including: Cash, Check, Credit Card, and  Money Order. The credit cards we accept are: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner Club International, and JCB. 

 

 

Where is the nearest metro or bus stop?

The nearest metro center is the red line- Dupont Circle Metro Station  located at  1367 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036 (Q Street Exit). If you wish to take the bus, the bus lines are 42, 43, H1, L2, L1. 

 

 

Does Washington English Center provide childcare?

No. We are an adult education program and do not provide childcare.

 

 

Does Washington English Center provide housing?

No. We do not provide housing.

 

 

Are books included in the price?

Yes. All textbooks are included in the price. 

 

 

Where are the teachers and students from?

All over the globe! Washington English Center takes pride in our multicultural atmosphere. We have over 2818 students from over 90 different countries. We also accept volunteer teachers from abroad, as long as they can speak fluent English.
