Since 1993, Washington English Center has welcomed immigrants and refugees to the United States as they learn to read, write, listen to, and speak English with greater fluency and confidence. Now, 31 years later, WEC regularly serves students from over 100 countries via English-language instruction and workforce programs.
Celebrating our Community gives us the chance to come together—the supporters, volunteers, and students who make our community so special. This event is an opportunity to revel in the progress of newcomers toward their language acquisition goals while recognizing the extraordinary individuals who have given of their time, talent, and treasure in support of WEC’s mission.
